We will be starting June 8th @5:30 at the Jim River Trap Range 5 miles east of town on Highway 50.
Please be on time – we need to get the safety test done and then we will start shooting.
We will shoot every Thursday night until school starts and then we will adjust as needed. If for some reason we have bad weather we will cancel and meet the following Thursday night.
For those new to the shotgun program you will shoot 2 boxes of shells each wk (50rds) if the youth only feel like shooting 1 box each wk that is fine as well, you can bring your own or buy at the range. We have 2 – youth 20 ga shotguns as well as 2 – adult sized 12ga shotguns for the youth to use. You may bring a shotgun from home – (please make sure it is in safe working condition) but please make sure the youth are able to handle it, it will make their learning process easier. I believe they are charging $3.25 per round of targets (25) for youth it is same as last year.
Please leave your shotgun(s) in the car until after the safety meeting as some of Range rules have changed from last year, we will cover those in the safety meeting. If anyone has any questions please let Randy Hummel know. His contact information can be found on the website – hope to see everyone there!
