Equine Fall Kickoff in Vermillion

South Dakota Cooperative Extension and the Clay County 4-H program will be hosting a “Equine Fall Kickoff” on Saturday October 9th

At the Clay County Rodeo Grounds, located 2.5 miles west of Vermillion just off Timber Road on the way to Clay County Park.

1:00- Nutrition, vaccinations and maintenance for the upcoming winter.

1:30– Versatility in today’s performance horse, how cross training can make a better competitor.

2:00– Extreme Mustang Makeover competitor Janell Gause and her mustang “Stryder”.  Janell was given 90 days to train a previously untouched mustang for this competition.  You won’t want to miss their story and a demonstration of just how far they have come.

3:00—Q& A session with presenters, arena will be open for riding and

attendees are welcome to use park trails. 

The Clay County Rodeo Grounds are a beautiful public facility, please come join us for this unique opportunity.
